Well, I woke up this morning and my Facebook account is gone. Completely shut down, no email message or opportunity to appeal. Since signing up almost exactly one year ago, I was (very obviously) targeted by an employee at Facebook, and my account was constantly being hit for violating "community standards" by the same type of people who told us for generations that there was no such thing as "community standards."
This is not paranoia, many people have suggested this to me.
By the way, the "community standards" violations were always "posting too frequently" which they consider spam. It's just a convenient excuse to punish users without a reason to do so, other than pettiness.
Oh well. This is going to free up a lot of time in my life and I consider it a net positive.
